Jean Baptiste Kamate (JBK)

Chief Field Operations Officer, World Vision International

Jean Baptiste is Chief Field Operations Officer of World Vision International. In this role, he oversees World Vision’s field work in 77 countries in Asia, Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean, the Middle East and Eastern Europe. Prior to this appointment, he led World Vision East Africa and West Africa as Regional Leader in both regions.

Jean Baptiste worked for the American Embassy in Mali as Programme Officer for 4 years before joining World Vision in 1994. He has been a Board member of financial institutions and non-profits for over 20 years. In World Vision, he served in several management and executive roles, including Country Director of World Vision in Mali, Democratic Republic of Congo, and Rwanda.

Jean Baptiste holds an MBA from Eastern University (USA) and a Doctorate from Regent University in Virginia Beach (USA). He is a member of the Governance & Nominating Committee and Ministry Impact Committee.

Jean Baptiste is married and has two children.
