Application Development Specialist

Job Title: Application Development Specialist

Location: Head Office, Yangon

Position Purpose

The purpose of this position is to be part of application development team in develop operational and financial report, in-house applications and utilities that support the organization’s core business needs, test existing applications in the organization, identify deficiencies and offer solutions, manage and maintain database service (reporting service, replication and mirroring), backup and tuning to ensure database service are available 24 by 7.

Key Responsibilities

  • On-time general troubleshooting on databases and in-house systems
  • Develop supporting document for new project as well as update the existing document if there is something changed for both system and databases
  • Attend and support user acceptance test (UAT) process for new system/ Core Banking System development, customization and upgrading.
  • Monitor and maintain the existing system to ensure it run smoothly
  • Ensure that data/information are stored securely on server, disk and client side
  • Research new technology for software and database development including mobile technology as well
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Interact with outside software vendors and contractors as/when required

About you

  • Bachelor degree in computer science or in related field
  • At least 2 year experience in software development (native, web and cloud).
  • Must have good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to organize and quickly evaluate the nature of the problem and to provide a solution rapidly and accurately is essential.
  • Knowledge in database design and development such as SQL Server, Oracle, SQLite, Realm and Microsoft Access
  • Knowledge in software development using MVC pattern and object-oriented programming
  • Knowledge in information security using OWASP
  • Ability to work under pressure and highly self-motivated
  • This position may be asked to travel inside country.
  • Must to provide criminal clearance form.

Grants Officer

Job Title : Grants Officer

Location : Head Office, Yangon

Position Purpose

This position will be responsible for a project portfolio that includes institutional grants and managing donor relationships. The grants officer will primarily be focused on grant management and support on proposal development. S/he will work closely with different teams within VisionFund Myanmar including Social Performance, Operations, Finance, Human Resources, and Administration. Other responsibilities, such as communications support may also be requested on an as needed basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned grant projects in coordination with relevant internal departments (Operations, Finance, Admin, HR, etc.) and external stakeholders (eg. World Vision, other partners)
  • Ensure regular, timely, high quality monitoring and internal and external reporting
  • Identify VFM grant acquisition and implementation capacity gaps
  • Provide guidance to grant project teams funded and monitor performance to ensure projects are implemented in compliance to donor expectations, rules and regulations
  • Maintain and update grant project dashboards such as reporting tracker, project indicator progress charts, and grants pipeline
  • Monitor project progress to identify trends, verify progress towards targets and alert management/operations staff of project delays, and make recommendations to the senior management team on areas of improvement
  • Build relationships and credibility with internal stakeholders and external partners, including local donor agencies, other INGOs, and local and regional government ministries
  • Communicate funding opportunities & other relevant information in a timely manner
  • Work with VFI regional grant teams on project design documents, including concept notes, work plans, logframes, budgets, and other supporting documents.

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of Social Science, development studies, finance or other related discipline
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with multi-donor, multi-site grants. Preferably with an INGO.
  • Strong preference for experience in managing grants for multi-donor institution fund.
  • Must have experience in a similar position: grant management, project design, proposal development (program narratives and budgets)
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to determine priorities and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Multi-Donors Trust Fund regulations, procedures and requirements a plus
  • Ability to present, discuss and supervise compliance with grant monitoring protocols with team members of varying levels
  • High-level computer literacy; Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required.
  • Proficiency in writing documents and reports in English a must
  • Good knowledge in budgeting and financial monitoring

Job Title : Creative and Communications Officer

Position Purpose

This position is to provide creative design in both print and digital ads, photography and videography, video editing services, and digital content creation to support VisionFund Myanmar’s corporate communication and product promotion programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Present concept/idea and develop interactive design/artwork for product promotion or VisionFund Myanmar’s corporate communication materials (print/digital assets/video) based on the creative brief
  • Take high-quality photos and video for promotional materials, office activities, external reports and press releases, events, and other marketing and communications purposes
  • Responsible for video post-production, including video editing, color grading, graphic animation, voice recording and rendering
  • Support organization events or representation of VisionFund Myanmar at external industry-related events.

About you

  • Bachelor degree in Creative Design, Media, Marketing, Advertising or other related certificates
  • 2 years experiences in the related field

Impact & Social Performance Data Analyst

Job Title : Impact & Social Performance Data Analyst

Location : Head Office, Yangon

Position Purpose

Under the supervision of the Project Manager, the Impact & Social Performance Data Analyst organizes and coordinates the research and learning (evidence building) agenda for VFM, while working closely with different internal stakeholders as well as any external entity. Moreover, he/she is responsible to conduct higher-level in-depth statistical analysis for internally led outcome monitoring studies, baselines and evaluations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create tools for monitoring and evaluation for various initiatives within VFM and coordinate the development and implementation of VFM’s Impact Monitoring Plan including identifying data requirements and assessing the validity of indicators that comprise the plan.
  • Provide technical support to the Grants, Operations, Digital Projects, Client Service Center, VFI Global and other relevant teams on adequate monitoring and evaluation of various projects, initiatives, and operational performance
  • Translate learnings into practical recommendations for products and service improvement for clients; work with products and field ops to ensure that best practices are rolled out across the branch network
  • Conduct field studies, surveys, and interviews with community and regional stakeholders as part of establishing socio impact assessment baselines assessments.
  • Provide appropriate training and coordinative supervision of relevant VFM staff and to external partners in monitoring and evaluation methodologies, data collection tools, and data management practices.

About you

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field (economics, statistics, mathematics, computer science, or other relevant subject) with significant training in quantitative methods.
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing surveys, developing a proper sampling frame and establish appropriate weights, clean, process, store quantitative data.
  • Strong conceptual knowledge about Theory of Changes (ToCs), monitoring and evaluation plans, data quality assurance, and data utilization
  • Proficient in Word/Powerpoint and Advanced Skills in Excel
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) in English, research and data analysis, and technical writing skills.
  • Experience with proposal writing and ability to undertake business development activities.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work well with people.
