Solymar services as VisionFund International's Global People & Culture Director.

Solymar has more than 20 years of experience in the areas of Human Resources, Talent Management, Training & Development and Leadership Development in different countries in Latin America, South Asia, Africa, United Kingdom and the USA. In her experience as manager and international consultant, she has worked for a wide range of industries and sectors to include Pharmaceutic and Fast-Moving Consuming Goods multinationals, Financial Inclusion Institutions and global consulting firms.

In the last 15 years, she has focused in the social development sector, specifically in Financial Inclusion, undertaking leadership roles in Accion International as the Director of Human Resources for Latin America & the Caribbean and as International Consultant for its Global Operations and Training & Capacity Building Units, supporting Financial Inclusion institutions in Latin America, Asia and Africa in meeting their financial and social goals, maximizing their human capital and building internal capacity. In 2019, she joined VisionFund International as People & Culture Business Partner for Latin America and the Caribbean.

Solymar has been President of the American Association for Training and Development (ATD) for the Miami chapter, guest speaker in a number of international events and frequent collaborator of the Social Performance Task Force (SPTF) and the Center for Financial Inclusion and the Training & Capacity Building of Accion. She is a certified Team Coach, based on the Action-Reflection-Learning® methodology and holds a B.A. in Psychology, major in Organizational Development and an MSc in Training for Development from the University of Reading, UK.

She lives in Miami, US with her two kids, Leonardo and Joaquín and their cat, Peppe.
