Our Work in Latin America and Caribbean
VisionFund's work in Latin America and the Caribbean, through our Microfinance Institutions (MFIs), targets the most vulnerable households with financial services to bring themselves out of poverty. Our livelihoods solutions across the continents help our clients build their businesses, send their children to school, and put nutritious food on the table.
VisionFund works hard to ensure the right financial inclusion solutions are right for the Latin American context, to better serve the diverse needs of our clients in all corners of the continent. From serving the "missing middle" in Mexico to bringing the THRIVE model to Honduras, VisionFund are focused on sustainably empowering our clients to break the cycle of poverty, for good.

Small and Growing Businesses
Small and Growing Businesses (SBGs) in developing countries are often left behind in the financial services market, deemed too small to lend to, yet too large for traditional microfinance. VisionFund is pioneering new ways to support the growth of SGBs, piloting projects in Mexico, as well as Ghana, Sri Lanka, and Myanmar.
In Honduras, World Vision’s life-changing THRIVE model empowers parents economically to break the cycle of poverty and sustainably improve their family’s education, health, food security and nutrition, and shelter.
