Mexico | About Us

VisionFund Mexico (VF Mexico) was born in 1997 as a non-profit civil association called Fundación Realidad, its goal was to boost economic development in vulnerable areas in Mexico. This is accomplished  by facilitating access to financial and non-financial services to motivate self-employment through generating, driving and strengthening economic activities that can increase families' income and improve children's quality of life.

This work was recognized in 2011 by the Mexican Crisis Observatory (OMEC) and the National Congress for being one of the main microfinance institutions implementing non-financial services programs in the sector. Subsequently, the Ministry of Economy and the National Microenterprise Financing Program (PRONAFIM) recognized VF Mexico with the 2012 Microfinance Award with the highest social contribution in Mexico.

Due to our growth and the change in finance regulations in Mexico, in 2011 we started the process of conversion to “Multiple Object Financial Company” (SOFOM), being in 2014 the official conversion in VISION F MEXICO S.A. OF C.V. SOFOM ENR, which has allowed us to accumulate 22 years of service to more than 47,000 clients through a network of 28 branches in socioeconomically vulnerable urban and rural areas in nine states in Mexico (Veracruz, Baja California, Morelos, Guerrero, Oaxaca, Chiapas, Tabasco, Puebla and the State of Mexico).
