Over the past two decades, Jacinta  has been a distinguished leader in digital finance and information technology within the microfinance sector.  Jacinta currently serves as the Interim Chief Operations and Technology Officer at VisionFund International, where she plays a pivotal role in steering global operations and technological advancements across the network. 

Her expertise is marked by her significant international exposure, having effectively led IT and Digital Finance projects and teams in over 20 countries. Jacinta is skilled in navigating complex global markets, driving digital transformation initiatives that enhance operational efficiencies and service delivery. 

Throughout her career, Jacinta has held several key positions, including Global Director of Digitisation at VisionFund International, where she led the strategic overhaul of IT systems across multiple regions. Her work has consistently focused on integrating cutting-edge technology solutions that foster growth, sustainability, and enhanced client service. 

An advocate for continuous learning, Jacinta has pursued professional development rigorously, obtaining numerous certifications in digital finance, Lean Six Sigma, and product management among others. Her language proficiencies include English, Swahili, and French, which facilitate her effective communication and leadership in diverse cultural settings. 

As a leader in the tech domain, Jacinta has influenced policy and strategy in financial institutions worldwide. Her leadership extends beyond professional mandates as she embodies the core values of VisionFund and World Vision, promoting a culture of integrity, accountability, and empowerment.

Jacinta holds a Master’s in Business Administration with a major in Management Information Systems from the Eastern and Southern Africa Management Institute, Arusha, Tanzania, and a Bachelor of Education in Arts from Kenyatta University, Nairobi, Kenya. Her academic foundation has been the bedrock for a career characterized by strategic leadership, innovative digital transformations, and a commitment to operational excellence.
