Doña Beatriz is a weaver of the community of Llallagua, Bolivia. She has been a microfinance client for three years.

Her community and the weaving work they create are well-known – they use sheep's wool for the whole weaving process and create handcrafted items. The creation of these vibrant fabrics has been done from the time of her ancestors as a custom that has come down from generation to generation. She sells her products to the craft sellers in the capital.

Beatriz became a single mother to two children when her husband passed away recently due to the pandemic. She is determined to keep going, no matter the loss, and she knows that she can get ahead for her children, because they are her company and because they are her reason for living.
