Managing Director of Rally Capital LLC
Mr. Weibling is currently the Managing Director of Rally Capital LLC, a private equity firm founded in 2004 in Kirkland, Washington. As a result of Rally Capital’s investments and other relationships, Mr. Weibling has served or is serving on the Boards of the following private companies with appointments on their compensation and audit committees:
- Rise Communities LLC
- Tempered Networks
- Teledesic Corporation
- Sarcos Robotics, Inc.
- Far West Fabricators, LLC
From 2006 to its sale in 2019, Mr. Weibling served on the Sotheby’s Board of Directors and as Chairman of the audit and finance committees. He was named interim CFO at Sotheby’s January through March 2016. He is currently as a Trustee for the family trusts of Keith W. McCaw.
Mr. Weibling and his wife are currently members of the World Vision’s National Leadership Board with an emphasis on the Economic Empowerment Initiative. They have traveled to many African countries and South America with World Vision and Medical Teams International where his wife is a Board member. They are members of Bellevue Presbyterian Church in Bellevue Washington. They have 3 adult children who they adopted at a young age.
Mr. Weibling serves as a Trustee on the Board of Seattle Pacific University, a Christian university in Washington. His appointments are the finance and facilities committees as well as the Board of the University’s Endowment Fund.
Mr. Weibling was a partner at Clark Nuber & Co., a CPA firm located in Bellevue, WA from 1986 to 1993, President of Eagle River, Inc., from October 1993 through December 2001 and Vice Chairman of Eagle River Investments from January 2002 through November 2004. He served as CEO of Nextel Communications Inc. from October 1995 to March 1996 and as a Director of Nextel from July 1995 until April 1, 2004.
Mr. Weibling received his bachelor’s degree from Wittenberg University in Ohio, his CPA license and his law degree and master’s in psychology from the University of Nebraska.
