IMPACTING LIVES THROUGH MICROFINANCE

WE AIM TO CHANGE THE LIVES OF CHILDREN IN VULNERABLE COMMUNITIES IN BOLIVIA BY PROVIDING SMALL LOANS AND FINANCIAL SERVICES TO ENTERPRISING FAMILIES, ENABLING THEM TO BUILD THE FUTURE THEY ASPIRE TO.

Since 1997 we have provided microfinance services in World Vision’s working areas, enabling clients to start and expand their businesses. The additional income from small businesses supports children to have access to education, healthcare and basic necessities. Our integration with World Vision’s work results in lasting development in communities.

We have a high quality, rapidly expanding portfolio and a growing client reach. Our committed staff work to reach those who are isolated and often excluded from mainstream financial support.

Working in Bolivia

Bolivia shifted to a democratic form of government in the early 1980s, yet remains one of the poorest and least developed countries in Latin America. Almost 50% of the population live on less than US$2 each day.

Educational opportunities are some of the most unevenly distributed on the continent. Indigenous and rural children, especially girls, are less likely to complete even primary school. Bolivia also ranks poorly in areas of malnutrition, mortality and life expectancy.

Many rural areas have limited access to financial services, making rural families living in poverty particularly vulnerable.
