We have ambitious plans for the future. So many of our success stories have been achieved with relatively small sums of money. We are keen to work with corporations, foundations and individuals who want to support our distinct approach to tackling poverty. If you share our aims, please email us at: firstname.lastname@example.org
Oliver Wyman is a leading global management consulting firm. They partnered with us to supply a strategy review to our global centre and individual microfinance organisations pro-bono. We thank the partnership and all their consultants who have supported our work by sharing some of their experiences here.
Volunteer your time and expertise with Bankers with Vision in Asia
Bankers with Vision (BwV) began when a small group of Singapore bankers became inspired by and involved in our work in Asia. Today an international network of bankers volunteer their time and talents to bring decades of experience to our work, acting as trainers, coachers and consultants. The bankers have now been joined by other allied professionals including credit experts, HR directors, marketing experts, IT gurus and other finance specialists.
By giving their time BwV are making a huge impact. Our staff gain from having hands on access to experts who are leaders in their field, enabling us to adapt tried and tested strategies to some of the challenges faced by our clients as they grow small businesses in developing economies. The bankers and other professionals gain from knowing that they are contributing to a Christian humanitarian initiative that unlocks potential worldwide. As we expand the scheme we invite others with skills and vision to get involved in our life changing work.
People like Fiona Whyte:
When Fiona saw the flyer asking “Are you ready for a life transforming experience?” her positive response resulted in her first trip to Cambodia with VisionFund. With her background in foreign exchange banking, she was ideally placed to help VisionFund Cambodia in managing the financial risks arising from a regulated currency. Fiona worked with the Treasury Team on reviewing the FX Risk Analysis and Risk Mitigation Strategy to help us manage the risk and avoid passing it on to clients. Having been on field visits to meet our clients, Fiona developed a love for Cambodia and its people. She was struck by how one family turned their lives around in five months with a loan of just US$250, remarking: 'It’s a wonderful reminder of why it is so valuable to go on assignment for Bankers with Vision'.
