BREAKING THE CYCLE OF POVERTY
Having your own business provides a reliable and sustainable income. This in turn means a person can buy or grow food, build a strong home and send their children to school. But often poor people do not have the money to start up their own small businesses, and with no assets or credit history, they can't get loans from banks. We are working in Ecuador to break this cycle of poverty.
We are an organization that focuses on working with groups of entrepreneurs, who for lack of economic guarantees, are not subject to credit in the formal financial system. Out work is to teach adequate management of resources to the most poor and vulnerable people, especially women, rural areas and marginal urban areas that dedicate their activities to agriculture, handcraft commerce and services.
We provide financial and non-financial services to improve the quality of life of children, teenagers, families and communities. We focus our work towards women, providing opportunities for them to generate income. We consider the microloan as a strategy and fundamental tool for economic development. We apply microfinance with a social focus and we maintain a balance with our financial performance.
